Effects of Chiropractic Treatment and Low Back Exercise on Flexibility, Cervical Lordosis Angle, and Pelvic Deviation in Low Back Pain Patients

Abstract
INTRODUCTION: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of chiropractic and low back exercise on the change of flexion and extension range of motion, cervical lordosis angle, and pelvic deviation in low back pain patients.

METHOD: Total 14 subjects participated in this experiment. 7 subjects were chiropractic treatment and exercise group which executed low back exercise and chiropractic treatment. Other 7 chiropractic subjects executed only chiropractic treatment.

RESULT: The low back flexibility was a significant difference for sit & reach and trunk extension between two group after treatment periods(p<.05). The angles of cervical curvature was no significant difference between two group after treatment period. As the pelvic deviation, the length and width of PIAS and EXIN were significant difference between two group in the times after treatment period(p<.05).

CONCLUSION: Chiropractic therapy and lumber exercise program could be effective in increase the flexibility and plevic deviation. But, it suggested that these study need more period to find out which is more effective way to protect and treatment for low back pain.
